HEALTHCARE IS A HUMAN RIGHT
Healthcare is a human right. We should not treat it as a commodity. It's time for The United States to disentangle healthcare from employment and move to a single-payer system - until that happens, we have the ability to make it so for Washington.
LOWER PRESCRIPTION COSTS
No one should be forced to choose between paying for their prescription medication or paying their rent. Particularly when drugs are developed using government funding, we must regulate prescription drug prices to ensure that humanity is prioritized over excessive profits.
EXPRESS PROTECTIONS FOR REPRODUCTIVE AND TRANS RIGHTS IN HEALTHCARE
Limiting my autonomy to make my own healthcare decisions directly calls into question my humanity but let me be very clear. I am a human. My humanity is not up for debate and neither is my ability to make decisions about my own healthcare. The same is true for Trans and non-binary people. It seems like not everyone is on the same page about our humanity, though, which is why I will fight to ensure that women, non-binary, and Trans folks have access to healthcare options and the authority to make their own healthcare decisions.
